To maintain the U.S.’s position as a global bioeconomic leader, the federal government must take action. A concerted effort endorsed and led by the executive branch is necessary to ensure growth in the job sectors of the future and to maintain national security through economic development, innovation, and the development of new mechanisms to safeguard against biological threats.
