Michelle Harper is a technical leader for ÓÐÁϺÐ×ÓAPP’s modern software development, DevSecOps, and software factory standup work. Her team is dedicated to enterprise integration, technology advancements, and developing new software capabilities across multiple mission areas. By collaborating on technical solutions that bridge business and technology, her team drives the vision, strategy, and delivery of proven and emerging capabilities for the nation’s warfighters.
Michelle leads scalable solutions that often combine Kubernetes-based environments and infrastructure as code with enterprise management and monitoring, using a zero-trust cyber mindset. She and her team collaborate across enterprise capabilities to develop digital solutions with cyber protection for key data supporting operational decisions. Â
Michelle is also involved in ÓÐÁϺÐ×ÓAPP’s Space Force enterprise integration work, which aims to perfect methodologies to leverage key space data and satellite information to enhance joint tactical and operational capabilities among military services.
Prior to joining ÓÐÁϺÐ×ÓAPP, Michelle was a software developer and software architect for Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman on critical satellite ground systems processing satellite telemetry. Â
Michelle devotes volunteer time to encouraging more kids to embrace science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics. She is a guest contributor to the Project Scientist summer program and has been a guest professor at the University of California, Irvine for computer science and software project management classes.
Michelle earned her B.S. in mathematics from Fort Hays State University, M.S. in object-oriented programming from Regis University, and Ph.D in computer science from Colorado Technical University.Â
