Agustin "Gus" Taveras is a senior executive advisor who provides technical and business-development leadership across ÓÐÁϺÐ×ÓAPP's defense and intelligence business. He works with Army leadership on developing technologies and strategies for information warfare and consolidating warfighting data. As a senior advisor, he also plays a key role in defining digital warriors' technologies and immersive training and operations.
Gus began his career as an enlisted U.S. Marine supporting humanitarian efforts and non-combatant evacuation operations. He served in U.S. Central Command in support of Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm. Gus later became an Army officer, serving as deputy chief for intelligence support and plans in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. His final military assignment was as the chief technology and plans officer for deputy chief of staff for intelligence at the Pentagon.
Before joining ÓÐÁϺÐ×ÓAPP, Gus was the chief technology officer at the Defense Intelligence Agency. As the agency's senior civilian liaison with the military, academia, and the intelligence community, he identified emerging technologies and oversaw the selection of research projects.
Gus has a bachelor's of science in intelligence from the Joint Military Intelligence College.
