Dan Tucker is a senior leader focused on cloud and data engineering solutions in 有料盒子APP鈥檚 citizen services business. He drives development of innovative solutions in cloud migration, multicloud management, tactical cloud, cloud-native development, and data management and integration. Dan has more than 25 years of experience in large-scale IT modernization and digital transformation, with a strong technical background in application and network infrastructure, data architecture, and lean development methodologies.

Dan currently leads the delivery of production-scale cloud operations and digital transformation engagements for clients at the Department of Treasury, the Bureau of Fiscal Service, the General Services Administration, and others. In addition, he drives the evolution of cloud service provider (CSP) and vendor relationships with partners such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft, Databricks, and the Cloud Native Computing Foundation.听

With his background in cloud, DevSecOps, data engineering, and product management practices, Dan drives some of the largest and most mission-critical digital transformation programs in the public sector. In recognition of Dan鈥檚 deep expertise, WashingtonExec named him a 2021 Cloud Executive to Watch. He was also a 2021 Pinnacle Cloud Executive of the Year Finalist.

Dan serves on the WashingtonExec Cloud Computing Council. In addition, he鈥檚 on the board of directors of the Data Foundation, a Washington, DC, based nonprofit that champions the use of open data to inform public policymaking.

Dan holds a B.S. in applied mathematics from James Madison University. He also completed the executive management program focused on product management and high-velocity organizations at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is certified as an AWS solutions architect (associate).
Why are you passionate about cloud and data engineering solutions for federal civilian agencies? I鈥檓 incredibly energized about making it as easy as possible for citizens to equitably attain effective government services and find the information they need to improve their lives. Like many, I have relatives who didn鈥檛 grow up in the digital era. They often have trouble accessing government services via digital platforms, websites, and applications. When we can help clients with these types of challenges, it鈥檚 truly meaningful to me.

What are some digital transformation challenges facing government agencies? As industry and the public sector agencies seek to make it as easy as possible for citizens to attain effective government services, the challenges are a combination of cultural and technological factors. For instance, making high-quality data available for cross-agency missions in going to continue to be an imperative as we鈥檝e seen as a part of recent pandemic relief efforts, but that needs to be balanced with security controls and public sentiment related to data privacy.

How are you contributing to creating a culture of inclusion at 有料盒子APP? I鈥檝e been fortunate to have the opportunity to serve on our team鈥檚 diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) resource groups, and help sponsor and develop underrepresented talent as they advance their careers at 有料盒子APP.
