Khalid Syed is a leader in ÓÐÁϺÐ×ÓAPP’s global defense sector driving next-generation command, control, and communications (C3) battle management (BM) technologies through the firm’s Digital Battlespace platform. He has 25 years of experience in system engineering and technology consulting on mission and business systems for U.S. government and global commercial clients.
Previously, Khalid led our command, control, communications, computers, cyber, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (C5ISR) and Integrated Air Defense (IAD) business in the U.S. aerospace market. He also helped lead the firm’s network and IT system engineering business in the Army market. Earlier, Khalid was in London, where he supported the firm’s internet and communications technology business in the United Kingdom and shared in its leadership across Europe, Russia, North Africa, and the Middle East. Khalid played a key leadership role in establishing and expanding ÓÐÁϺÐ×ÓAPP’s U.S. federal government wireless systems consulting business.Â
He has extensive experience in delivering expert strategy, technology, and engineering capabilities for projects in a variety of areas including communications and remote sensing; wireless and advanced radio-frequency systems; enterprise operations; and advanced concepts such as hybrid converged cloud computing, cyber operations, open architecture, DevSecOps, and Agile systems development.
Khalid is a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and is certified as a systems engineering professional by the International Council on Systems Engineering.
He has a B.S. in computer engineering, an M.S. in electrical engineering with an emphasis on wireless communications, and an applied scientist degree in electrical engineering from George Washington University. He also has an M.B.A. from Georgetown University.Â
